Why We Are In Business:
Provide low-cost, open-source software and hardware robots that can
be leveraged by students, hobbyists, educators and researchers.

By creating a low-cost flexible robot that is able to span the educational
spectrum, we hope to create a community of end-users who are willing
to share the details of their work in and out of the classroom and
research laboratory.

The economic downturn of 2008 has forced many institutions to cut
items from their budget. In an attempt to reduce the New York State
budget, the
Executive Budget for 2009-2010 will cut approximately
$17.9 billion in spending. Educational spending has been reduced by
2.0 billion. In this current economic climate it is even more important
that educators and students continue to have access to high-quality
teaching and learning tools.
