Imagine if your community had access to a repository of robots that
could be used for various educational purposes?

Students, teachers, educators, engineers, scientists or anyone in the
community could request to use these robots for the purpose of
education. When a specific school or institution purchases robots for
the purpose of education these robots will only be capable of affecting
a very narrow group of students. Additionally, the true utilization of these
robots will inevitably end up being very low.

By creating a central repository you can drastically improve robot
utilization while positively affecting a larger population of students. If
you build a community around the robots, then everyone can benefit
from what others develop or learn from experts when attempting to
implement a specific educational goal.

Most communities have a large number of technically savvy individuals
that would be willing to participate and donate their expertise, so why
not tap into this vast reservoir of knowledge?
